Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels. This page explains which ones useme4 uses.
Cookies we set
The converters work without cookies or browser storage, and the site does not need cookies to function. The only first-party cookies on useme4.com are set by Google Analytics, described below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they use and which countries they come from. It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID>, which hold a random identifier and last up to two years. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland these cookies are only set if you accept them in the consent message. You can opt out everywhere with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
If enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics also measures page views, without cookies, local storage or cross-site tracking.
Advertising cookies (third party)
When advertising is enabled, Google AdSense and its partners may set or read cookies and similar identifiers to:
- show ads, and limit how often you see the same ad;
- detect and prevent fraud and invalid clicks;
- measure ad performance;
- personalise ads based on your interests — only with your consent where the law requires it (for example in the UK, EEA and Switzerland).
Typical cookie names used by Google advertising include IDE, __gads, __gpi, DSID and test_cookie. Their exact names and lifetimes are set by Google and may change; see Google's cookie list.
Managing your choices
- Consent message: in regions where consent is required, a message appears on your first visit. You can change your choice later using the privacy settings link from that message.
- Google: manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
- Industry opt-outs: aboutads.info/choices (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
- Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking third-party cookies does not affect the converters.
